Breakfast Club

The Breakfast program was started by Wimpy Borland and Jack Byers in 1996 and continues under the guidance of Jack Byers to whom we all owe a big thank you for a job well done. For almost two decades, we have served breakfast to hungry kids Monday to Friday at Keith Wightman School. The program is run by a volunteer staff of 36 on rotating shifts throughout the week.

We are the only program within the City of Peterborough and Peterborough County that serves a complete sit-down meal; there are 44 programs throughout the city and county. Under the auspices of the Peterborough County Health Unit, we are presently feeding 30 to 40 children for breakfast each morning. This school enrollment is 224.

Everyone is welcome! If you want to get involved, contact the church office »
